Starting at 2 pm, producers will hear from Nico Cantalupo about the

importance, perception and prevention of animal disease risk

management. Nico, MSU Extension Agent for Carter and Fallon

Counties, will also cover the routes of disease transmission while

helping producers learn how to protect their own livestock operations.





Ken Nelson, MSU Extension Agent for McCone County, will provide

information regarding the construction and design of wind shelters to

reduce the bite of our cold winter winds. The flexibility of design

options and mobility of each shelter will be addressed. Ken is also

very knowledgeable about shelterbelt design.



An update on the development of Glendive’s Farm-To-Table Co-op

by Bruce Smith, MSU Extension Agent for Dawson County, will give

producers a chance to explore a new marketing opportunity. The

project is forming an Ag marketing co-op that will market member's

produce and products to local stores, restaurants, and food services,

etc. Included in the project is the development of a local buyers

guide designed to help connect those looking to purchase locally

grown products with area producers who have items for sale.



Those looking for an update of crop and rangeland pesticides will

hear about the newest products available and learn about the ways
