Commercial/Governmental Applicator Training
Programs Submitted For Commercial/Governmental Credits

Any program submitted for commercial/governmental pesticide credits needs to adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth by the Montana Department of Agriculture.

Program agendas submitted for commercial/governmental pesticide credits need to use a  Commercial/Governmental Pesticide Recertification Credit Request Form. Agendas need to be submitted 30 days prior to the program.

County agents/local PAT coordinators are not required to conduct training for commercial applicators.  Commercial pesticide applicator training is the responsibility of the Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA).  It should be noted however that commercial applicators attending PAT training meetings may be offered commercial pesticide education credits if the program adheres to MDA policies regarding commercial training.

Commercial applicator training programs may also receive PAT credits if:
1.  The program has already been approved by MDA for commercial credits.
2.  Proof of accreditation is submitted to MSU-PEP.
3.  Topics are relative to private pesticide applicator training.
4.  Agenda and a Private Applicator Credit Request form is submitted.
5.  The meeting facility will accommodate additional people.
